This will actually be my first written blog post for Nine2Fit. If you do not know me, my name is Dru and I take on all of the videos for Nine2Fit and do my best to come up with new content and new ways to film to help keep you guys entertained. All you who have been keeping up with the latest video and who may have some fresh ideas ideas for me on what to film, leave it in the comments! I would love to hear about it.
As a videographer, I occasionally get to take trips and film for small companies, sports, business owners ect. Not to brag but totally just got back from Oahu, Hawaii. Here is a quick video from the trip. Needless to say, the whole experience was awesome.
One thing is for certain…everyone needs to go skydiving. Don’t ask questions. Just go do it. You will NOT regret it. I promise. If you do regret it then you can call me out in the comments and send me the middle finger emoji.
On a different note, the best part about getting to work so closely with David is that I get to utilize his knowledge about when to work out, how to work out, and especially how to work out while on vacation. Truth be told I did not do as good as I could have and I think I drank 1 maybe 2 ok probably 5 more beers than I should have but I will say from the exercise I DID accomplish, I felt like my trip in Oahu, Hawaii was positively impacted on all levels. On previous trips, I didn’t give exercise a second thought. This trip was different. I took notice of it. I made exercising more of a priority (totally could have done more but we all gotta start somewhere, right?).
Because I was staying with a friend I did not have a gym to go to but rather I substituted lifting weights with morning hikes/jogs (even did a sunrise hike after a “probably 5 more beers than I should have” kind of night). I can tell you right now I did not want to at 4:30am in the morning after going to bed at 1:30am to do the morning hike but having the influence of my friend Dave Whims who was with me and wanting to do more exercise on this trip, we made ourselves do it. It was not only an amazing experience that I will never forget but the entire day I felt like a million dollars when I normally would have just lounged all day. The funny thing is I have always known that this would make me feel better but I never took action on it. I wanted to change what I would typically do on vacation by adding more physical activities into my trip’s routines to substitute working out at home. It was my goal to do a physical activity every day ranging from 45 minutes to an hour for 11 days. I did not make all 11 but I got close with a 7 out of 11 day record. This was an awesomel experiment for me and I will continue this on all my next trips! Highly recommended.
