Finally released to the public, we had our launch party this weekend at a lovely venue on Mercer Island, WA! Dru and I were both extremely excited to finally get to share our vision with our friends and family. A time of celebration, we feel like our party was a success both in fun and in setting our vision for the future and where we will be taking the business.
Personally, I never miss an excuse to have a party. If you've spent any significant amount of time with me, you know that I like to have memorable experiences with friends. I think that life is all about experiences, and a business is no exception! We started planning this party about 2 months ago and knew right away that this would be a big step for us. Up until this point, what we are doing and how we are doing it hasn't been something that has been discussed, as we didn't want to share something that we hadn't completely defined ourselves. I have also never put an event together of this scale so the learning curve was steep! Organizing food purchases, beverage pickup and delivery, photographers, videographers, and more was quite the task; I think it's safe to say we learned a few lessons from the whole experience.
The highlight of our launch party was getting to see friends and family enjoying themselves and having a great time on a Saturday night. Was the main purpose of our event to share our new business offerings? Sure. However, without everybody who supported and encouraged us along the way, I don' think we would have made it this far, and this party was for them. Personally, I'm an extrovert, so I get energy from crowds, lots of people-to-people interactions, and maybe a glass of wine or two. Being able to experience others being excited for us was exactly the boost that we needed to be ready to take our company through the next steps needed to becoming successful at providing the opportunity of a healthy life to others.
For those of you that attended, we are forever grateful. Those that didn't make it? Stay tuned for more events... Dru and I are always looking for an excuse to throw a party!
